Two schools in our community recently encountered guns being brought to school and we are praying for those in our church community who are shaken by these incidents. If you are struggling to know what to do or how to respond in the wake of gun violence, take a minute to read the devotion Pastor Rob wrote in response to the El Paso and Dayton shootings.
Bishop Wilke, author of the four-part Disciple Bible Study series, has provided a statement on the current conflict over inclusion of the LGBTQ community within the United Methodist Church. “I have given my life to revitalizing the church and bringing people to Christ,” Wilke says, adding that the current conflict “breaks my heart.” We are grateful for Bishop Wilke not only for his service to the church but for his bravery in speaking out.
